Budgens is the closest place to buy petrol and diesel, basic groceries, newspapers, milk, snacks and alcohol. Greggs is also close and serves hot and cold baked goods, cakes, pies, sandwiches and crisps. They are both located on the Shell Garage on the A590. Both are a short walk from Newby Bridge village.
2. The Angel Inn
This child and dog-friendly pub on the shore of Lake Windermere serves some fairly standard comfort food staples. Its huge terrace is the place to be if it’s sunny, but you can also settle in inside with a pint and enjoy the scenery.
